Leadership Team Biographies



Ashok Nalamalapu - President



Ashok has MS in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.  He has led several software projects successfully at the Fortune 500 companies including IBM, The Vanguard Group of Investments and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.  Ashok also was a technical lead for SAP implementation at Armstrong World Industries.  He is a frequent speaker on topics such as the Internet and E Business, as well as a motivational speaker and writer.  He has authored many articles that have been featured in the Portland Press Herald.  In 1996, Ashok started iCST, in Maine.  The Small Business Administration has selected Ashok as a co-winner of Maine's Minority Small Businessperson of the year in 1999 and also as a runner up for Maine's Small Business Person of 2000 and 2001.  iCST received Governor’s award for business excellence in 2001. Ashok has won the highest achievement awards at the Dale Carnegie courses.  He was trained on leadership at Center for Creative Leadership and Institute of Civic Leadership.  Along with this successful leadership training, he strongly values a fun and exciting workplace for his team members.  He advises Maine's Governor Angus King on technology issues and is on the board of the United Way of Greater Portland.

 

 

Christopher Broadway, Chief Financial Officer

As the CFO for iCST, Chris has a BS in Business Administration and Decision Sciences from George Mason University.  He spent 7 years with Peace Corps, first at their headquarters in Washington, DC as the Chief Administrative Officer for 180 staff and a $40 million dollar budget.  Then 3 years in Moldova, Eastern Europe, as the Associate Country Director developing Peace Corps’ most successful start-up post immediately following the collapse of the Soviet Union.  Transitioning to technology, he served as CEO for a start-up web development company in Fairfax, Virginia initially winning the contract and developing the comprehensive web site for the IRS.  His client list included Cable & Wireless, Congressional Budget Office, General Services Administration, MCI, Netscape and The Washington Post.  Prior to joining iCST, he has been a Corporate Facilitator and Wilderness Instructor with Outward Bound teaching leadership skills to Fortune 500 CEOs as well as teenagers.  Very well traveled, he has spent more than 24 years living in Africa, Asia and Europe.  In the past year, he has visited Belize, Costa Rica and Thailand.  Away from iCST, you can often find him scaling granite cliffs, sailing Penobscot Bay or exploring New England with his two Moldovan dogs.

 


Ted Eaton - Director of Business Development



Ted has 30 years in the Information Technology industry in management and marketing positions. He has a BA degree from Colgate University and a MBA in Finance & Business from Hofstra University. He was Director of Information Technology at Ocean Spray Cranberries, participating in the growth of the company from $75 Million to $500 Million, and Senior IT Director International at Motorola/Codex, where he had responsibility for 10 international offices. Ted has recently been Director of Marketing for Compass Systems & Programming, an IT Consulting firm. He has extensive experience in directing and implementing major application systems and databases utilizing all levels of platforms and networks. Ted resides in Dover, NH.



Dean Ostergaard - Director of Consulting Services

Dean Ostergaard has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Most recently Dean was Chief Architect at Cost Effective Development Corp. where he applied a mix of traditional and agile development methodologies such as the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model (CMM), the Rational Unified Process (RUP), eXtreme Programming (XP), Test Driven Development (TDD), and scrum, in a distributed dynamic, virtual team environment. He is convinced that the responsiveness to changing needs and requirements of Agile Methodologies, blended with the appropriate mix of management control and reporting from traditional methodologies produces results that satisfy users, developers, and managers.

Dean's history in the IT field includes directing the activities of teams of world-class developers using Java, J2EE, SOAP, XML, Web Services, and Microsoft technologies to deliver custom solutions and integration projects to clients; Managing the IT Services department for an integrated circuits manufacturing company; Managing the networking and end-user computing services department for one of the worlds largest book distributors; and making major software contributions to the early development of EDI, B2B, B2C, and Web Services techniques in the bookseller and book wholesaling and distribution markets.


Lincoln Page - Senior Technical Recruiter



Lincoln Page is the Senior Technical Recruiter at iCST.  His experience in the field started in 1980 when he worked for Exeter Associates in Hampton, New Hampshire.  After representing several prestigious firms, Lincoln opened his own company CompuSource Inc., which started with just Lincoln and his partner.  It quickly became the largest technical recruiting company in Maine.  Lincoln is an avid sports participant and enthusiast all year long.  He has been involved in coaching kids at all ages in baseball and basketball. Lincoln resides in Saco with his best friend Maggie (his black Laborador).  Linc and Maggie are both avid Red Sox fans and neither believe in the Curse of the Bambino.  They both believe this is the year the Red Sox will win the World Series without a doubt.
